Foodography, first real try

IMG_7270

Wow, I haven’t posted here in ages. Bad health mixed with other projects makes this blog easy to forget. But here are some photos of food. I’ve started a ‘cooking channel’ on youtube, which lets me try out something I’ve been wanting to work more with for a while – food photography. Or foodography.

These are taken with a 35mm lens, which is kinda… not good, but it was all I had. I’m still happy with the photos, considering the equipment I had and what little experience I have with taking these kind of photos. More to come!

Lindesnes lighthouse

This summer I visited the Lindesnes lighthouse, which is known for being the southernmost point in Norway (even though it technically isn’t any more). It’s lying on top of a cliff, where there is a lot of wind and a very beautiful view. It makes me want to live there for a while, since it looks like the perfect place to just write and read all day.

Baby photos

IMG_1091

A few weeks ago I took my first baby photos. It was a little weird taking photos of someone you couldn’t ask to smile or look the other way. And she fell asleep in the middle of it too. But I think I managed to get some nice shoots, and I hope I get to take more baby photos in the future.

Malta, 2014 (part 2)

Untitled

I really liked the capital Valetta. It’s a small city filled with beautiful building, small streets (wit no cars!), wonderful views of the ocean, cafés with delicious vegan food, a cinema (that have commercial breaks in the middle of the movies), and pretty much everything you could want. It’s also very easy to travel from there to anywhere by buss. If I end up going back to Malta one day, I will probably find a place to stay there (and not in Birzebugga, even though it is a fun name to pronounce).

Some of these photos are taking in Mdina and Vittoriosa, two other beautiful places. The photos of the church is from Birzebugga.

Malta, 2014 (part 1)

Untitled

This easter I travelled to Malta with my boyfriend Paul. It was a gift from his mother. I knew nothing about Malta and had never though about going there, and even though it wasn’t that much to do there we had a lovely holiday. Mostly we relaxed, but we also travelled around the island a little with the super cheap busses. We visited a few different cities, each very beautiful (and we discovered later that some of them were game of thrones locations!). Since it was only april it was still too cold to stay at the beach, which just meant more time to eat tasty food and going to the cinemas. I got nothing to complain about!
